Benefit from the various services we offer

With our activities, everyone is able to feel in control of what they do and when. In consultation with you, activities can be arranged in groups with other participants with common interest or individually. You will also benefit from building social networks with others through our programs.

To ensure that you feel safe and confident we maintain a clear line of communication between our staff, yourself and your family / carer. We take time to listen and plan activities, in consultation with you, to ensure they are appropriate to your needs and preferences and to ensure that you are given the opportunity to make informed choices.

Where preferred, we bring people together and help create a sense of community spirit and belonging. We believe that with our programs, participants will increase their own feelings of personal and social worth and reduce the social isolation which is often faced by many.

Do you need help with your personal care? It can be difficult and sometimes embarrassing to have a family member help with personal care.

We have trained and experienced care staff that can support you to maintain your personal hygiene and appearance whilst respecting your dignity and encouraging your independence. We adhere to appropriate standards of hygiene for individuals and also take cultural factors and individual requirements into consideration during needs assessment.

When providing personal care, we take your lifestyle choices into consideration and respect your desire of being dressed and groomed the way you like. We will support you with any typical day-to-day tasks, be it assistance with waking up and showering to get ready for the day, meal preparation / feeding, or administering prescribed medication.

If you have high care and complex needs requiring a high level of skill, we provide services of experienced Nurses with specific skills that meet your individual care requirements, supporting you to maintain a level of independence, privacy and a better quality of life at home. Besides basic services of medication management, wound care or injections, our nursing staff can care for complex care needs of:

  • Enteral Feeding
  • Urinary Catheter Management
  • Subcutaneous Injection
  • Complex Wound Management
  • Tracheostomy Management

Many individuals benefit greatly from one-to-one care and attention that our complex care at home service provides, which they may struggle to receive in a multi-occupancy home. Our outcome-based service will support you to live as independently as possible and empower you to have complete choice and control over your care.

We can support you to travel around and go about your daily life if using public transport is not a comfortable option. Our staff can assist you with safe and convenient transport to school, work, a doctor or other medical appointments, shopping and outings that best meet your needs.

We will also work with you to train and develop your skills and abilities to use public transport or taxi service to independently manage your travel needs. Our staff will train you to choose the best mode of transport which suits your needs along with understanding timetables, ticketing and routes.

With the right training you could be hiring a cab or using a smart phone to order a ride from Uber or Ola with confidence and independence.

We understand that a clean and organised home can make a difference to quality of life at home. We can help you with a range of household tasks such as shopping, garden maintenance, meal preparations, general cleaning, laundry or paying bills.

Handing over housekeeping tasks to a caring professional doesn’t mean losing your independence – in fact, it will restore much of your time and energy so you will be free to enjoy yourself doing what you want to do. We respect the fact that it is your home and you know your needs, so we take your instruction on what and how chores get done.

We assure you that all your household tasks will be carried out with skill, speed and the utmost care and attention. Every task will be performed to the highest standards of safety and hygiene, and all equipment will be used properly and correctly cared for.

Community Participation has been the most requested support need identified by people with disability.

We take pride in understanding your needs upfront and work with you and your family / carer in the thinking, planning and implementation of ideas and services which best meet your goals and lifestyle.

Community Participation could mean for you to be going to work, shops, school, or socialise with friends, family, colleagues or join clubs and groups with others who share similar interests, where you feel like you can make a contribution and belong.

Whatever it may be we will work with you and assist you to develop skills to create opportunities that are meaningful to you and prepare you to participate independently in your community.
